Carvoeiro villas
Many Carvoeiro villas have big open-plan living areas in porcelain, often continuing out to covered terraces. Large areas of light-coloured porcelain show every grey walkway, and the area by the pool doors usually looks worst. Holiday developments and rentals
The developments around Carvoeiro are full of apartments and townhouses that are let through the season. Weekly changeovers keep them tidy but not deep clean. If you look after several, one quote can cover them all. See property managers.
Lagoa town
In Lagoa itself we see older townhouses with glazed ceramic floors, and shops, offices and cafés with hard-wearing porcelain. For ceramic, the grout usually makes the biggest difference. See ceramic floor cleaning.
Access notes
- Steep, narrow roads. Some streets in Carvoeiro are steep and tight for a van. Tell us where to park.
- Summer near the beach. Parking near the centre of Carvoeiro is very limited in high season. Outside July and August is easier.
- Gated developments. Let us know about gate codes and reception check-in.
